CPRIT (Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas) is supporting the Therapeutic Antibody Core to provide consultation, instrumentation, technical support and data analysis for research projects working to develop therapeutic antibodies for cancer treatment. Major core services are divided into four modules:

This is an automated and high throughput instrument for bacterial colony picking, replica plating, and re-arraying/cherry picking lead clones. It is an all-in-one system for routine screening of the phage displayed antibody libraries for lead selection and optimization.

 

Multitron Pro Incubation Shaker (Infors)

Multitron Pro Incubation Shaker (Infors)

 This is a high throughput, high density bacterial culture system for phage display of antibody fragments. It will be used in antibody phage library construction and screening, preparation of scFv and Fab antibody fragments, and DNA preparation for sequencing.

 The BioRobot Universal provides fully automated medium- to high-throughput applications in a 96-well format with a combination of flexibility and reproducibility, enabling efficient, accurate processing of various sample types for nucleic acid extraction and protein extraction.

ReadyToProcess WAVE 25 Bioreactor (GE)

ReadyToProcess WAVE 25 Bioreactor (GE)

 The rocking bioreactor system with integrated temperature sensors and load cells, designed for handling and control of cell cultures up to 25 L. This bioreactor system will provide the antibody core facility to meet the need for large scale production of GMP materials from stable CHO cell lines for safety evaluation of antibody drug candidates in non-human primates and Phase I clinical trials.

 This instrument can be used to determine specific antibody characteristics such as binding affinity, kinetics, antibody expression level, and antigen epitope binning.

 This is a precise and sensitive PCR system capable of high-throughput and absolute quantification of target DNA or RNA molecules for probe-based digital PCR applications.

Bioanalyzer 2100 Electrophoresis System (Agilent)

Bioanalyzer 2100 Electrophoresis System (Agilent)

 The 2100 Bioanalyzer system allows rapid and reliable separation, sizing and quantification of DNA, RNA and proteins by miniaturized on-chip electrophoresis surpassing labor intensive slab gels by speed, reproducibility and independence from user influences. Uniquely versatile, the 2100 Bioanalyzer can easily switch from electrophoresis to two-color flow cytometry analysis of fluorescently-labeled cells.
